Puerto Rico’s “indie” scene skews heavily towards rock-oriented sub-genres --Punk, Metal, Garage, Pop or Experimental-- so it is certainly worth noting when a band like Sr. Langosta comes along to test our musical boundaries and take audiences in new directions. Led by guitarist Jorge Andrés Ferreras, the Acid Jazz & Funk trio’s debut reveals great musicianship and a playful streak, with an extended band willing to fuse Caribbean and Latin rhythms with the Classic Rock influence of guitar heroes like Jimi Hendrix. Doido is but a taste of the refreshing sounds the band is offering up on its first album.

La escena “indie” de Puerto Rico suele inclinarse más hacia los subgéneros del rock como el Punk, Metal, Garage, Pop y Experimental, así que vale la pena hacer caso cuando surge una banda como Sr. Langosta que empuja nuestros límites y mueve a la audiencia hacia nuevas direcciones. Liderada por el guitarrista Jorge Andrés Ferreras, el trío de Acid Jazz y Funk nos revela en su debut una alta habilidad musical técnica con tendencias más juguetonas, con una banda extendida de músicos dispuestos a fusionar ritmos Caribeños y Latinos con la influencia de héroes del Rock Clásico como Jimi Hendrix. Doido es una pequeña muestra de los sonidos refrescantes que presenta el grupo en su primer álbum.
