Time to hit the dance floor! The self-proclaimed "rockeros con guille de salseros" (rockers posing as a salsa band) of the Orquesta El Macabeo have just released the first single from their upcoming third LP. Lluvia Con Sol (Rain with Sunshine) showcases the mean and dirty brass section and populist lyrics that have become staples of the band’s sound. If you still haven't heard of these guys - local punk and hardcore players now spearheading Puerto Rico's “old school” salsa revival - now’s a great time to start: the Macabeo’s Salsa Bestial compilation out now on Vampisoul records features hits from their first two records as well as this brand new single.

¡Es hora de ponerse a bailar! Los rockeros con guille de salseros de la Orquesta El Macabeo acaban de lanzar su primer sencillo de lo que será su tercer álbum. Lluvia Con Sol luce el sonido bestial de la sección de vientos y las letras populistas que agarran gran parte de la esencia del grupo. Si aún no han escuchado a estos tipos, músicos de la escena local de punk y hardcore que ahora lideran el resurgir de la salsa gorda en Puerto Rico - ahora es buen momento para empezar.
